GLORY

Fresh faith in a child of God brought home again to Jesus
Sees through the curtain as it parts
The light of something wondrous...
Glory

Glory shines brighter than a sculpture of purest gold in the sun
Glory shines more wondrously than a field of buttercups drenched in daylight
Glory is lighter than a cloud yet heavier than the entire earth

Glory is handsome
Glory is beautiful
Glory is humble
It is like standing in the midst of a suspension of gold dust in still, illuminated air

Glory is a bath in the house of... Yahweh

Glory fills all the spaces so one either wants to say nothing or has writhing words
that run for cover like snakes into the shadows of a murky pond
The heat from glory makes that unsavory pond evaporate
Glory is the hush that descends when the worship of God
ascends like incense from one's soul

Glory happens when the person transcends herself
Through worship and passes through that veil that had cornered off that room
Which houses the full brilliance of God's light

She passes through the crucifixion of Jesus
Which ripped that temple veil forever that one day two thousand years ago

So that, in passing, the twin veil on her heart also rips, and
She beholds the Presence of God

LIFE

"I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly."

John 10:10

There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name (John 1:9-12)

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. (Titus 3:4-7)

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26)

Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him." (John 14:6-7)

And He was saying to them, "You are from below, I am from above; you are of this world, I am not of this world. Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." (John 8:23-24)

He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls. (1 Peter 2:24-25)

Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. (John 14:1)
