GRACE
Fourteen of the twenty-one "letters" or "epistles" (all except the book of
Romans, James, 1 Peter, John's letters and Jude) end with the last
or next to last line of the letter bestowing the Grace of Christ.
The Apostles emphasized Grace over and over:
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you. My love be with you all in
Christ Jesus. Amen. (1 Corinthians 16:23-24)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the
fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all. (2 Corinthians 13:14)
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren.
Amen. (Galatians 6:18)
Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with
incorruptible love. (Ephesians 6:24)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. (Philippians 4:23)
I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my
imprisonment. Grace be with you. (Colossians 4:18)
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:28)
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. (2 Thessalonians 3:18)
...Grace be with you. (1 Timothy 6:21)
The Lord be with your spirit. Grace be with you. (2 Timothy 4:22)
...Grace be with you all. (Titus 3:15)
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
(Philemon 1:25)
Grace be with you all. (Hebrews 13:25)
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of
eternity. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18)
There is deep coverage of Grace throughout the Epistles.
But John (the Apostle, not John the Baptist to whom he also refers)
describes Grace in one of the most soul-stirring passages of Scripture.
And Paul captures the mountaintop experience of the Grace and
love of Christ in Ephesians.
So in the Spirit of Easter, here are their words to us about the
Grace of Jesus Christ:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things
came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came
into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life
was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the
darkness did not comprehend it.
There came a man sent from God, whose name was John. He
came as a witness, to testify about the Light, so that all might
believe through him. He was not the Light, but he came to testify
about the Light.
There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens
every man. He was in the world, and the world was made through
Him, and the world did not know Him. He came to His own, and
those who were His own did not receive Him. But as many as
received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of
God, even to those who believe in His name, who were born, not
of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of
God.
And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we saw
His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of
grace and truth. John testified about Him and cried out, saying,
"This was He of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has a
higher rank than I, for He existed before me.'" For of His fullness
we have all received, and grace upon grace. For the Law was
given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus
Christ. No one has seen God at any time; the only begotten God
who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him.
(John 1:1-18)
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom
every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He
would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be
strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so
that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you,
being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend
with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and
depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge,
that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.
(Ephesians 3:14-21)

I am leaving for a mission trip for evangelization and am

My youth group visits homeless shelters, and speaks to the
people living there about God and how they can devote their
lives to him. My youth leader also speaks in prisons. I will
give him the majority of these bookmarks so he can give
them to the prisoners. I will give the bookmarks to some of
the people at the homeless shelters, and to my peers at
school who I know are facing depression, anger, pain, or any
other kind of sad feeling. I want to show them that with
Christ, there will be no pain.
